But tonight I'll make you feel beautiful

And as the sun went down we ended up on the ground
I heard the train shake the windows
You screamed over the sound
And as we own this night
I put your body to the test with mine
This love was out of control
3-2-1 where did it go?
-Pierce The Veil, Hold On Till May

A sketch I did of Vic Fuentes. He's the vocalist from one of my favorite bands, Pierce The Veil!

This song was written about a girl he dated who was neglected by her parents. She would sit in her tree house all day and wonder if her parents noticed she was gone.

The Dead Are Living.

A little piece of hand art I did on myself in memory of Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence.

"The Dead Are Living" is the last comment that Mitch posted on his Twitter and Instagram. His face was painted like a day of the dead skull for Halloween.

To read more about his death:

Can't believe you're gone still. RIP Mitch.

You Only Live Once.

Push your care,
push your burdens aside.
Erase everything inside and leave just one thing on your mind.
You only live once
so just go fucking nuts.
-Suicide Silence, You Only Live Once

This post is a dedicated to Mitch Lucker the vocalist of Suicide Silence. He died from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident on Halloween night in Huntington, CA.

So bummed I never got to see them play live. I really wanted to go to CA Metalfest this year to see them ;(. There will be a memorial show for Mitch this Friday called "Ending Is The Beginning" in Pomona, CA.

To read more on his death visit here: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/11/growing-memorial-for-suicide-silence-vocalist-mitch-lucker.html

You think you're big time?

"You think you're big time?
You're going to fucking die big time!"

A sketch inspired by the Kiss Of Death statue by Jaume Barba and the song Carlito's Way by Upon A Burning Body.
The statue is located in the El Poblenou Cemetary in Barcelona Spain.

I really want to get this tattooed on my back along with more lyrics from the song Carlito's Way. I am obsessed with UABB if you couldn't tell.

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

My friend sent me a picture of a dead Marilyn Monroe. She said it would look better if I sketched it. So I did just to have something fun to do. I just added a web background, diamond, and words to the original photo. Kept the sketch black, and white with more shading than the original.

Man Made Disaster

"I can't fight,
you just made me what I am.
The fate made you my cure
As much as you are my poison."
-Betraying The Martyrs, Man Made Disaster

So I've been pretty obsessed with this band lately, especially with the vocalist, Aaron Matts. I found this photo of Aaron, with his face painted like the day of the dead. Decided to sketch it because I loved the original photo so much. Not sure who took the original photo though.

Pretty bummed that I missed them on Mayhem Fest this year. They are from Paris, France so hopefully they come tour the states again soon.

Check BTM on Facebook here:
www.facebook.com/wearebetrayingthemartyrs

You can watch their official music video for Man Made Disaster here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ykuf11YkmHo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

You know that moment when all the band members jump in the air at the same time? Yup, orgasmic.

Carlito's Way

"Im hearing every word you say only Im not listening
I hope you regret this
Attack and destroy the line
Speak the words that you want me to remember and Ill take them to the death, to the death
This is a payment of society
If you promise theres no forgiving me
Just a precaution of security
I want it all, yeah
I must walk on the blood of all humanity
To mark the yard where hope drowned, this is the battleground, here we go
Now well set the tone
Youre becoming the sheep and were the cannibals
This is only a game
As you were bending the rules we built our foundation
You think youre big time?
Youre gonna fucking die big time
Now speak the words you want me to forget, to the death
Enjoy the company
I will show what it is to yearn
We'll shake the fucking ground
Lets burn this mother down
It shook before and well shake it again before were done
This is my payment to society if you promise there is no forgiving me
Attack, we will set the tone we will take it all back
Youre the sheep, were the cannibals
This is just a fucking epilogue
Well shake the fucking ground"
-Upon A Burning Body, Carlito's Way

Decided to post the entire lyrics to the song because it's one of my favore songs by the band. Pretty epic.

This was just a fun, tiny sketch I did using ink and an ink pen. I obviously need to work on my script.

You can check out the song and official music video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9fmSEEogps&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Sin City

"WHEN YOUR EYES GO DEAD,
THE HELL WE SEND YOU TO
WILL SEEM LIKE HEAVEN INSTEAD
AN EYE FOR AN EYE
FALL TO YOUR KNEES

MOTHERFUCKER
TELL ME HOW DO YOU PLEAD?

GUILTY AS CHARGED!"
-Upon A Burning Body, Sin City

A sketch I did inspired by a song from UABB. This is from their sophomore album RED.WHITE.GREEN.

A brief overview of the band: they are a deathcore band signed to Sumerian records. The record label came up with the idea for the band to have this gangster/mafia image. Their first album, The World Is Ours, is inspired by Al Pacino movies, and all songs are titled after Al Pacino films. Similarly, their second album, RED.WHITE.GREEN. is inspired by Robert Rodriguez films, and all songs are also all titled after his films. Robert Rodriguez is also from the band's hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico

"Every minute you waste is a minute you’ve lost
and you will never get it back
every minute you waste is a minute you’ve lost
and you will never get it back

in a world under glass
you can watch the time pass
as the earth becomes an echo of what’s left outside
but the wind can blow cold
in the depths of your soul
and no one will find you in the place where you hide"

I saw this amazing photo of Danny Leal, the vocalist for the metal band Upon A Burning body online. Decided to sketch it. I saw UABB at Mayhem Fest this year at The Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA and I've become obsessed with them.

You can check them out on Facebook! Guaranteed you won't be disappointed.

Vicky Vamp

Since I wasn't satisfied with the Aaron Matts sketch I did of Dennis Tesch's photography, I decided to sketch a portrait of a photo he took of Viktoria Nguyen aka Vicky Vamp. She's beautiful and the original photography is beautiful.

You can check out Dennis Tesch's photography at

Betraying The Martyrs.

Finally catching up on my blogger. Here's a sketch of an original photo of Aaron Matts taken by Dennis Tesch photography. Dennis Tesch saw a sketch I did of Danny Leal from the band Upon A Burning Body and pitched the idea of me sketching some of his photography work.

This is what I attempted of Aaron Matts. Wasn't completely satisfied, and the more I worked on it, the more frustrated I got. I think I'm not accustomed to sketching portraits directly staring into the camera.
It was a learning experience.

Fun fact: The tattoos of the roses on Aaron's neck represents life and death and the lighthouse represents a guide between both life and death.

Enjoy ;).

Expectations.

I hate when I'm doing something and it's not coming in terms with my expectations. Then I have to decide whether to keep trying/fixing it or to just start over. Decisions, decisions...

I'm doing a sketch of Aaron Matt from Betraying The Martyrs. Im getting frustrated and don't know what to do...ha

Koi Legend

According to Japanese legend, if a koi succeeded in climbing the falls at a point called Dragon Gate on the Yellow River, it would be transformed into a dragon. Based on that legend, it became a symbol of worldly aspiration and advancement.
More generally, the Japanese associate koi (also known as carp) with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. Because of its strength and determination to overcome obstacles, it stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals.

-OK so some of my friends are saying it is a Chinese legend and that the Yellow River is in China. Whatever country the koi fish originates from I think the meaning is beautiful.

Fuck Me! I'm All Out Of Enemies.

Didn't think it'd be that difficult to draw Corey Taylor with this mask. In comparison to his old one, it seemed much simpler. Guess that's what happens when you underestimate something/one, they kick your ass.

A Match Into Water

I kiss the scars on her skin
I still think you're beautiful
And I don't ever want to lose my best friend
-Pierce The Veil, A Match Into Water

Some random PTV fan asked me on instagram to sketch something with these lyrics. I usually never draw what people ask me to because they ask for specific things and I think you have to be inspired to draw/make anything. But I love drawing quotes and lyrics and her request was very open so I sketched my interpretation of the song. Hope she likes it and other PTV fans who like or relate to the song enjoy it as well. ;)...

King For A Day

The thing I think I love will surely bring me pain.
-Pierce The Veil, King For A Day

A messy sketch. I needed a new idea for a painting and I really like these lyrics. It didn't really come out the way I wanted, but am sharing it anyways. ;)...

Ghost In The Mirror.

Ghost in the mirror.
Just look beyond, the balanced reflection.

So tell me dear, can your heart still break
If it's already stopped beating?

Never take your pulse for granted again,
she doesn't know the kiss of death.
Black is black and love is, love is death.
Black cats, Black hearts, the wicked never rest.
I curse the day I let you in.

Everyday is a funeral.
I'm not afraid of being alone, I'm just afraid of being vulnerable.

Ghost in the mirror, I curse the day that I let you in.

This is horror
This is sin
We are evil
We are death
-Motionless In White, Ghost In The Mirror

Check out an old, live performance of this song here(I love the God Free shirt Chris is wearing by the way):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdsLjqlc38s&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Also attaching a charcoal drawing I did of Chris Motionless. He's such a cool subject to draw, so many emotions and dark aesthetic. The different gradients of black from the charcoal made the portrait more beautiful and dramatic, yet still subtle.

Battle Axe.

"I want to sleep if you are awake
Still making believe that you aren't at all crazy." -Deftones, Battle Axe

Here's some pictures of the progression of the canvas painting I did of the deftones album. You can get a small idea of what I did.

Step 1: make a small scale sketch
Step 2: sketch out proportions on canvas
Step 3: outline/fill in black areas
Step 4: add color
Step 5: donezo! Share art with the world! Hallelujah holla back!

Gently.

One of the best images of life; the tornado of confetti forming around Corey Taylor during the song Gently. Reminiscing about the moments I had watching Slipknot at Mayhem Fest. Wish I could relive it!

Check out the live performance of Gently at The Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA(the venue I attended) here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTLBxYs7J5o&feature=youtube_gdata_player

*sighs* I need more mayhem in my life.

I will make you HURT.

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of shit
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Took a break from reading and painting to watch #NIN vids. Gives me chills every time. Love Love Love. My interpretation of the song is that it's about pain, consequences, regret, and self-loathing. Whatever this person has done, he's driven his friends away from the consequences. He tries to bury or redirect his regrets or emotional pain through inflicting physical pain. It doesn't work so he is forced with the realization of his pain, consequences, and regret. The mention of the needle tearing a hole sounds like drug abuse, since some people do use drugs to mask pain. Drug abuse will also drive your friends and loved ones away(speaking from personal experience because my ex-boyfriend was a drug addict). But I don't really know if the song refers to any drug abuse. This is one of my favorite or perhaps favorite songs from NIN.

Gone With The Sin.

I'm in a weird mood. Therefore I listen to HIM. Makes me feel half dead, yet half alive. <3

This live performance of Gone With The Sin is one of my favorite videos. Check it out!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvUMbxilzkE&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I don't own this photo. Found it off google. I think the heartagram is one of the coolest symbols ever invented. The heartagram was created by HIM's vocalist, Ville Valo. He was doodling and came up with that beautiful symbol that has become well known and universal. There's a lot of cool fan artwork done with the heartagram as well.

Yayyyy for HIM and love metal ;)...

Of Mice & Men.

"The best laid schemes of mice and men
Go often awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!"
-Robert Burns, To A Mouse

While everybody is on the 50 Shades Of Grey hype, I've decided to read a book where my favorite band, Of Mice & Men, got their name based on the themes. The themes include having set plans being ruined and chasing the American Dream.

The book is also based on a poem, To A Mouse, by Robert Burns which I've quoted one version of a piece of the poem(in standard English) above. I decided to include this quote because Jaxin Hall(former bassist) mentions it in an old interview. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqOg96SSM9o&feature=youtube_gdata_player

All Hope Is Gone.

I decided to do a sketch of Slipknot's drummer Joey Jordison. It is dedicated to my nephew because after Mayhem Fest, he asked me how was it and if I recorded anything. I showed him a video of Slipknot and he asked "who's that guy with the horns on the poster?" Lmao I told him it was Satan. Then I asked him if he wanted to go to a concert and he replied "uhmm yeah but not this one, to see a different band." I think I scared him ha!

Well I just saw this portrait of Joey Jordison online and thought it was rad so I decided to sketch it. First time drawing a portrait of someone wearing a mask. Still a lot of emotions and expressions to convey!

Here's a tribute video I found of Slipknot and their song All Hope Is Gone. There is video footage, pictures, and some quirky comments. Pretty cool to see all the different mask each member wears.

Enjoy!

The Drug In Me Is You.

Just posting a little, old sketch I did. The tattoo "Bang Bang" is inspired by Ronnie Radke(from Falling In Reverse) because he actually has it. I also put a Native American headdress on the skull since Ronnie has some Native American roots. The colors kind of made the skull look rasta though ha!

I love Ronnie so here is my little homage to him!

If you're 555, then I'm 666.

Finally went to my first Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest and it was insane! ;)

Some bands that I saw and enjoyed we're Upon A Burning Body, White Chapel, Asking Alexandria, and The Devil Wears Prada. The best performances were from Slayer and Slipknot!

I didn't really like some of the crowds at the smaller stages, some people just stood there(boring...), but maybe it was because they didn't know the other bands since I assume a lot of people just came to see Slayer or Slipknot. However, when they opened the pavilion with the main stage it was insane! Super large crowd, supposedly the biggest crowd they've ever had in Mayhem history. I was in the front center of the lawn and I was getting pushed into the rope barricades.

Highlights of the night:

The mayhem during Slayer's whole set and the insane guy next to me pretending to play air guitar and yelling "hail Satan" the whole time.

When Corey Taylor from Slipknot said you've heard the legends and myths and told everyone to get the fuck down. I had no idea what he was talking about. Then he told everyone to jump at his signal. So fucking dope!

When The Devil Wears Prada was doing a signing and I got a semi-close view of Mike Hranica's sexy self, but then some big girl came and ruined my view.

And right when I came into the venue this ginger head/beard Johnny Craig look alike totally shoulders me in the face. He looks back at me with a confused face, I laugh, he laughs. He then says "sorrrryyyyy, I'm drunk."

Ahhhh how I love Mayhem ;)....

I'm posting some pics of the crowd at Slayer and Slipknot. Some I found off instagram, enjoy ;)...

also am attaching a vid I found of YouTube of Slipknot performing heretic anthem ;). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqFPUbm4Xgs&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Indivisible Bliss and Emptiness.

Saw a pic of this statue online and did a little sketch. Thought she looked rad with her bone rosary and headdress!

"Heruka (Sanskrit; Tib.khrag 'thung), is the name of a category of wrathful deities, enlightened beings in Vajrayana Buddhism that adopt a fierce countenance to benefit sentient beings. In China and Japan, it was named as Wisdom King. Herukas represent the embodiment of indivisible bliss and emptiness."

The prettiest girl in the mirror is me.

"The prettiest girl in the mirror is me, but will I still be pretty when there's no one there to see?" -Medusa, Clash Of The Titans

Just posting up some older drawings I did of Medusa. Thinking about making them into shirts since I have a hobby screen printing kit ha!

So we all know that Medusa is a gorgon and you're not supposed to look directly at her or else you'll turn to stone, but how'd she get that way you ask?

Well I quickly looked up the answer on Yahoo and people said it's because she was committing sexual acts in Athena's temple with Poseidon. Greek Gods are known to rape, so whether Medusa was raped or not I guess it doesn't matter. Since Athena is a virgin and a model of self-control she punished Medusa into becoming a gorgon for her offensive misconduct.

There's other variations, so let me know what other stories you've heard about it! :)

Be Quiet and Drive Far Away.

Been listening to Be Quiet and Drive Far Away on repeat by the Deftones. So I decided my next canvas painting would be the Deftones skull and roses! This is just a black and white sketch I did to prepare for the painting :).

Check out the video of the song on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPW92FVMnFI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Enjoy!

Shattered Dreams.

I'm so clumsy with my belongings. This is the third frame I broke, but I like it. I'll appropriately name the piece "Shattered Dreams" ha!

Made this five years ago in a beginning drawing class at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose. The assignment was to make a surrealistic piece of art. I used charcoal on charcoal paper. It is a girl in a wedding dress who is half tree. Lmao don't know exactly where I was going with that concept, but Tim Burton and Disney should make a movie out my half ass idea!

Besitos.

So I was working on this one canvas for so long, about a year. It started off as a dead Marilyn Monroe, then a dead Snow White, then just a day of the dead girl. I had the girl painted, but needed a background and a quote because I had painted a banner at the top. I have no idea why I painted a banner first without knowing what to put in it, maybe I just forgot what I originally was going to write.

So I was thinking about what the quote should be and the background when I had a flashback of Pierce The Veil singing Besitos at Warped.

What really clicked was the lyrics that says "I'll steal you flowers from the cemetery, red roses. Red rose of the dead." My canvas has a painting of a dead girl holding a red rose so it was perfect!

Also found the performance of the song at Warped on YouTube. It's a shaky video, but a true account of how awesome PTV and their crowd/fans are. You can see everyone jumping with their hands in the air! ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KhyxzHhfYM&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I'm attaching the lyrics as well. Besitos means kisses in Spanish if you're wondering ha.

"Besitos"

You're my favorite explosion.
(You know the only real way to cure pain is to add a little more,
because everything new distracts the old.)
A violin with no hands plays symphonies with no words.
A drowning boy with no voice prays someone up there's telling me,
You'd better not get back up!
I spit my heart into this red cup.
I'd better pick it back up, it might ruin your night.

And she said,
"Baby, leave the water by the bed for later,
and I woke up without a single drop.

I told myself I'm tired of holding up your backup plans.
Go down your list and be satisfied if all you have is not enough.

(True love comes from more than just the heart)

She said paint a picture on me,
throw your dress up and your heart away.
Yeah, I heard what you said.
A friend of a friend, these strangers at the party never paid.
And if that doesn't turn you on.
I'll keep talking till something does.
As we're covered in sand, you roll over and smile.

I told myself I'm tired of holding up your backup plans.
Go down your list and be satisfied it's all you have.
And until that day,
I'll steal you flowers from the cemetery, red roses.
Red rose of the dead.
How does it feel to breathe oxygen inside her head?

So say it, say I'm in love, cause you called me
crying from your job, said you just got fired.
And you don't have a backup plan,
so don't expect me to understand.

(A diamond bullet and a gun made of gold, she was covered in blood last seen in San Francisco)

Yeah!
We all breakdown.
Sometimes the bedroom walls become my only friends,
but they were there from beginning to end.

I'm tired of holding up your backup plans.
Go down your list and be satisfied it's all you have.
You know I've never held a gun in my life,
but now I carry one around in case I see you tonight.
Bedroom walls.
Oh, these bedroom walls.
Oh, I hate what it tastes like.

Music Makes The World New.

This post is going to be me rambling and reminiscing about my wonderful time at Van's Warped Tour this year in San Francisco! And posting a few pics of PTV!

My day started off at 6:30AM, had to wake up super early to get ready and be at the Caltrain before the train arrived at 8:00AM. Some of my friends met at my house and we made an alcoholic concoction(Bicardi, V8 Splash, and Tropical Kool Aid) to put in water bottles as our refreshments on the Caltrain. We also packed PBR's ;)

Well guess what? We took too long being fake bartenders and arrived at the Caltrain parking lot right at 8 and missed our train! So we had to wait until 9. Didn't arrive until SF until 1045. Didn't get inside Warped until 12:45! The line was ridiculously long! Over 20,000 people, insanity.

So what do you do when you're in line? Oh, you know just try to cut and complain with your friends about how long the line is! We were pretty buzzed, so the wait seemed shorter in our demented minds than actual time in reality.

You also check your favorite bands twitter so you know their set time! So while in line I read that Of Mice & Men were playing at 1:05! I almost soiled my pants in anxiety, but right when I got past security my friend and I ran to their stage and pushed our way towards the front! We made it just in time and the band came out right away, and the mayhem and moshing was immediate. Freaking loved every second of it! I've only seen them play twice so far, but definitely one of my favorite bands and live performers! I also love their crowd and fans, very intense and so much energy.

I think crowds are very influential on your experience at a show, I mean how are you going to have fun if you're in a crowd that just stands around? I'd rather risk getting socked in the face by some sweaty dude just because it's more fun, exciting, and energetic ;).

Fast forward. So of course one of the bands I was most anxious to watch was Pierce The Veil! I had never seen them live. I made a poster(in my previous post titled Los Pierce The Veils), and was hoping to give it to them as a gift at their meet and greet. Well what do you know? You needed a ticket to the meet and greet and they ran out! I still waited next to their tent to see them come out and greet other fans. I hopped on top of a water jug they used to hold down tents and held up my poster and screamed like a psychopath.

Did it get their attention? Maybe; I don't know if they were being polite and giving their full attention to the fans they were meeting or just purposely ignoring me because I looked like a crazy ass. I did get the attention of a person who had a ticket though. She came up to me and offered to sell it for $10. Little girl trying to hustle and make money off of something that's supposed to be free...anyways before I could respond this 5 year old comes and swoops up on my offer! What a jerk! Anyways I wasn't going to fight with a little boy, I hope he enjoyed meeting PTV because I kind of don't enjoy my kindness for letting him steal my ticket offer ha.

So I just had to wait until the meet and greet was over to give them my poster. When it ended, the band started walking away with their security and your crew. My friends told me to run up to them, so I did! I caught up to Vic and someone was escorting him. I got on the other side and shrugged his shoulders a couple of times until he turned back. I said "Can I give this to you?" and handed him the poster. He smiled and said "This is for me?" and I said "Yes, I made it for the band." he said "What is it?" I said "Just look at it!" And started walking away like an idiot! I was so nervous and scared for bothering him because I knew they were in a hurry to get ready for their set. As I walked away, I saw him unrolling the poster and he turned around and said thanks! I wish I would've kept following him until he opened the poster instead of fleeing like a scared idiot! *Sigh the feeling of regret* I wish I could've just got some feedback as to whether he liked it or not. Oh well there will be other opportunities to meet him and the band again. I'm on a PTV high though, I keep reliving the short moment I had with Vic ;).

Fast forward again. Their set was freaking amazing! They played right after Taking Back Sunday(who were awesome too). Right when they came out the energy was insane! Crowd was elbow to elbow, so squished, could barely move! Still attempted to jump and dance and sing as loud and crazy as I could! Bulletproof love was a highlight, the whole crowd was jumping up and down, amazing. I'm definitely planning to go to their next US headlining tour whenever that is.

Just going to end this blog with some highlights of bands I saw:

PTV - Their whole set was amazing and Vic smiled and thanked me! *melting inside*

TBS - last song of their set was Make Damn Sure! Everyone got into it and was singing along. Perfecto!

Of Mice & Men - Right when I got though security clearance and entered the venue, ran to their set and got moshed on and shoved back and forth. I miss that human ocean of swaying bodies.

The Used - Enough said.

Motionless In White - first time seeing them, they sound and look great live. They had a huge crowd, but the people next to me we're just standing around. BORING, probably needed to get closer to the front and center. Nonetheless, I love them and they are still great live.

Saw/heard other bands too like Yellowcard, We The Kings, You Me At Six, everyone sounded great. Can I just relive Warped again, pretty please?

Los Pierce The Veils

So I've been on a Pierce The Veil binge lately because it was my first time watching them perform live at Van's Warped Tour this past Saturday in San Francisco. Tickets sold out from presales, over 20,000 attendees! Super insane! Here's some art that I made that kept me stoked for a few months until Warped finally arrived!

I actually made the Mexican flag poster with their portraits the night before Warped. It was basically a collage(taped their portraits on charcoal paper and painted the background green, white, and red to emulate the Mexican flag and used a sharpie to ink the eagle in the center). I decided to give it to them as a gift. I wanted to make it nicer and frame it or put it on a canvas, but why would I want to hold something big/heavy at Warped? Ha so I put it on flimsy paper so I could roll it up and put it in my small backpack and mosh/headband without worries! Smart move in my opinion. I will talk about Warped, and my experience of giving Vic Fuentes my poster in the next blog :).

The Four Happiest Mexicans Alive.

Posting some portrait sketches I did of Pierce The Veil! My favorite band of Mexicans! They refer to themselves as the four happiest Mexicans alive hence the title. They also are Sexicans(sexy Mexicans) and play Mexicore(Mexican Hardcore). These are inside jokes, don't take it too literal ;).

Screaming Relaxes Me So.

For some reason I've been drawing a lot of dark/horror characters. I guess because it's more fun because there's lots of shades of black and drawing creepy stuff is pretty fun. Also, I just think it's nostalgic to draw some characters from old television shows that I use to watch as a kid. For this post, I'm going to upload some Vampira drawings!
